Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
1. demonstrate their knowledge in the substantive law and procedures of marriage and family law including Parent and Child, Jurisdiction, Family Law Judicial Council Forms, Property Rights, Child and Spousal Support, The Litigation Process, Resolving Issues Before Trial, Order to Show Cause matters, Enforcement, and Domestic Violence Protective Orders, preparing petition, response, dissolution of marriage forms and documents, and OSC motions
2. "think critically" in law, and in the area of marriage and family law
3. brief a law case in marriage and family law
4. prepare certain legal documents, forms or papers in the area of Fammily Law
